About Sharia Supervisory Board
Dompet Dhuafa realizes the importance of applying Islamic laws in all forms of organizational activities, therefore to maintain that Dompet Dhuafa is following Islamic values, there is a Sharia Supervisory Board in the running of Dompet Dhuafa activities in the institutional structure.

Prof. Dr. Drs. KH. M. Amin Suma, B.A., S.H., M.A., M.M.
Prof. Dr. Drs. K.H. Muhammad Amin Suma, B.A., M.A., S.H., M.M., known as Prof. MAS is a senior/principal Professor of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Prof. MAS is still actively involved with the enlightenment of jurisprudence material and zakat law on various occasions and in several higher education and zakat institutions. Among Prof. MAS‘s works related to zakat is the Integration of Fiqh and Zakat Law from Classical Times to Modern Times (2022). More than just a lecturer and author of zakat jurisprudence, Prof. MAS is also an active practitioner who has long been involved in Indonesia’s zakat world. Currently, Prof. MAS serves as chairman of the Indonesian Sharia Undergraduate Scientific Association (Indonesian: Himpunan Ilmuan Sarjana Syariah Indonesia (HISSI)), Vice Chairman of the Fatwa Commission of the Indonesian Ulema Council (Indonesian: Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI)), Vice Chairman of the National Sharia Council - Indonesian Ulema Council (Indonesia: Dewan Syariah Nasional - Majelis Ulama Indonesia (DSN-MUI)), and Chairman of the Sharia Board of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation and several other institutions.
K.H. Wahfiudin Sakam Bahrum, S.E., M.B.A.
K.H. Wahfiuddin Sakam is a well-known missionary in Indonesia, and his name appears on the Ministry of Religious Affairs‘ list of recommendations for 200 missionaries for Ramadan 2018. He is also a spirituality expert and a Master Trainer in the field. In addition, he is also the Vice Chairman of the Education and Regeneration Commission of the Central Indonesian Ulema Council. K.H. Wahfiuddin is also one of the Talqin Representatives of K.H. Ahmad Shohibul Wafa’ Tajul ’Arifin alias Abah Anom, Suryalaya, Tasikmalaya, West Java. "Vice Talqin" is the term for the badal (assistant) teacher of murshid in the Qadiriyyah Wa Naqsyabandiyyah Thariqah, led by the elderly cleric who was born on January 1, 1915. He is a member of the Sharia Board of Yayasan Dompet Dhuafa Republika.
K.H. Izzudin Abdul Manaf, Lc., M.A., Ph.D.
Dr. Izzudin Abdul Manaf, or his real name Dr. Izzudin Edi Siswanto, is a Sharia Economics specialist who earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sharia from the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia. He received his Master of Arts degree from the National University of Malaysia while for his Ph.D he obtained from Malaya University in both in the field of Sharia Economics. He is a lecturer at STEI SEBI and the Director of Wafaa International. In addition, he is a member of the sharia board of Yayasan Dompet Dhuafa Republika, DSN MUI and Islamic Economic Practitioner.
Sharia Supervisory Board Secretarial Function
The Main Functions/Duties of the Sharia Board Secretariat:
- Sharia compliance and supervision functions within Dompet Dhuafa Net regularly.
- Facilitate the needs of sharia opinion of Yayasan Dompet Dhuafa Republika.
- Following the Sharia Board meeting’s agenda and materials.
- Prepare the Sharia Board’s agenda annually, semester, and monthly.
- Conducting administrative activities based on Sharia Board meeting outcomes.
- Become an Ex-Officio member of the Ethics Committee and Legal Institutions.
- Support Ziswaf socialization and literacy activities.
- Sharia audit assistance of Dompet Dhuafa Net.
- Liaison of zakat and waqf institutions and regulators, especially Sharia aspects.
- Other duties related to the Sharia Board and sharia compliance functions.
